Have you ever looked at a particular industry or sector and thought of ways that you can improve it? Maybe you have a great, industry-changing idea, and you’re looking for a forum to get the message out. Zombal makes it’s easy to voice your solution and discuss it with other members on the site. Adding a solution is free, and Zombal gives you a place on your profile page to showcase it with a description and relevant files and labels.

Why You Should Add Solutions to Your Profile

There are many excellent reasons to add your solution on Zombal. Once you do, other members can comment on it, and you can engage in a active discussions with people all over the globe. This means you can present your solution to people who you may not be able to meet any other way. And the real power of this is the fact that we'll be promoting solutions to particular industries and business leaders through social media (Twitter, Google+, etc.), so your ideas will reach the widest audience possible.

If you’ve got enough interesting solutions on your profile relevant to a particular industry, work will begin coming to you rather than you having to search for it. Your ideas will appear on pages such as Google+, leading people to your profile on Zombal. Launchers will get a better understanding of your writing capabilities, reasoning and expertise, without having to interview you in too much depth. In addition, Zombal will periodically contact companies in the GICS sector, presenting them with your solution. Your chances to interact with, and perhaps work for, these companies will increase dramatically. Think of it as a personal resume; instead of posting it out to hundreds of companies, their searches will come to you. The possibilities are endless when you have a great solution and the right people know about it.

Browsing Solutions

Members can view current solutions by clicking Browse > Solutions in the main menu. This launches the Solutions page.

You can also filter for specific solutions by entering keywords or labels and clicking Filter.

Click on the title of a solution to view more information about it. Once you launch the page for a particular solution, you can also download related files and post comments.

How to Add a Solution

Login to Zombal and click Settings > Edit My Profile to access your profile page. Next, click the My Solutions tab.

To begin, click the Add tool under the My Solutions tab. This launches the Add Solution screen, where you can add information, labels and files.

Tip: Hover your cursor over an Info icon to display more information about a particular item.

Type in a title. Summarize what your solution solves. For instance, if you develop a way to extract 5% more power using modern day photovoltaic cells, you might summarize your solution as “Improved Solar Voltaic Power Output”.
Type in a description. This is where you can explain your idea in detail, the more information the better. Other members and companies will read your ideas and be able to comment on and critique them. Ensure you backup any arguments that you have, and include references to work that you’ve based your research upon. If you have a revolutionary idea, people will asking you about it through the comments functionality.
Select a standard scientific label. Adding text to the field will bring up a menu of items to select from. Like the rest of the site, let people know what area of science your solution will benefit.
Click the “+” icon to add more labels, if necessary.
Select Global Industry Classification Standard Labels (GICS). Adding GICS labels to your solution is extremely important. Your solution will solve a problem for a particular business sector. Business sectors include: Energy, Materials, Industrials, Consumer Discretionary, Consumer Staples, Health Care, Financials, Information Technology, Telecommunication Services, Utilities. Each of these sectors contain sub-sectors, and each sub-sector contains publicly listed companies. If your idea is stimulating discussion and can be seen as a real way to change a particular industry, Zombal will pass this information along to the company giving you a real chance to make your solution into a reality.
Select Industry Process Labels. If your solution pertains to a particular process, select the most relevant label from the list. Companies whose core business relates to a particular process will be searching for members that have ideas about problems that they’re facing every day. Add any relevant documents or images. Browse for files on your computer, then upload these to Zombal.
Click Add to add your solution to your profile.
